Tasty Vanilla Recipes:

Vanilla Milk Sponge Cake

• 2 eggs
• 1 cup sugar
• 6 tablespoons hot milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla or lemon extract
• 1 cup flour
• ⅛ teaspoon salt
• 1½ teaspoons baking powder

Beat yolks of eggs until thick; add half of sugar slowly, beating continually; add hot milk, remainder of sugar and whites of eggs beaten until stiff; add vanilla flavoring; add flour, salt and baking powder which have been sifted together. Bake in ungreased tube pan in moderate oven about 25 minutes.

Boiled Icing

• 1 cup granulated sugar
• ½ cup water
• ½ teaspoon baking powder
• White of 1 egg
• ½ teaspoon vanilla flavoring extract

Boil sugar and water until syrup spins a thread; pour very slowly into stiffly beaten white of egg and beat until smooth; add baking powder and vanilla flavoring and mix well. Allow to stand about ten minutes and spread on cake.

Vanilla Frosting

• 1 unbeaten egg white
• 1½ cups confectioners' sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Put egg white into shallow dish; add sugar gradually beating with wire whip until of right consistency to spread; add vanilla and spread on cake.

Pastry bags are then used to apply the frosting to cakes, pies, muffins or other baked goods. A high-quality reusable pastry bag is often made from tightly woven nylon, polyester, rubber or waterproofed cotton. Medium quality bags are similar, except they are not so tightly woven and may let some contents seep through the weave or the seams. After use, a reusable bag is washed by hand and hung open to dry. A high-quality bag may last for many years.

• 2 cups molasses
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1 cup cream or milk
• ¼ pound unsweetened chocolate
• 4 tablespoons butter
• 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Put all ingredients, except the vanilla, into a kettle or pot. Boil until it hardens when tested in cold water; add Vanilla and turn into large flat greased tins. When nearly cold, cut into small squares. Finished!

As a member of the Northwest Arkansas Real Estate Investors Association you also can have access to many online real estate investing courses that will help you learn and understand everything you need to know to be successful with your real estate career. Courses offered through the club include topics like leasing options, purchasing, short sales, pre-forclosures, tax sales, and more. These courses could cost you thousands of dollars if you were to take them through a school and you can access them for free when you are a member.
